Second Grade News
June 25, 2017
I am sorry that this newsletter is a little overdue. However, I wanted to write to tell you all how much I have enjoyed working with each of your children. They are all wonderful and will forever remain in my mind since they were the last class of my career.
Thank you to all of those who were able at this crazy time of year to come to the PTO's reception for me. I was touched by the outpouring of love and good wishes. I also enjoyed the booklet created for me by the kiddos with Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Sweet and I will always treasure that as well.
Please check out my website as I have updated it with all the photos of the kiddos during these last few weeks of school. We were so busy at the end of the year that I never had enough time to upload all the photos. I hope you enjoy them.
Also, please help keep your kids' skills sharp this summer by reading, doing math, and writing. Don't forget about the Governor's challenges for both reading and math. I will be sending a packet in the mail with the addition and subtraction flash cards as well as the sight words for second grade. Your child can practice reading and writing these sight words.
Once again, thank you so much for letting me have a part in both you and your children's lives. It was a wonderful year and they have all grown so much. :)

PS I think they should all should be able to continue to log onto Reflex to practice their addition and subtraction facts and onto Raz Kids in order to find material at their level to read and comprehend. I don't think they will have access to Lexia over the summer.
