A good time was had by all at the holiday sing-a-long. Gabe and Mrs. Carpenter got their pictures in the Republican-American, too!

We enjoyed sharing our published narrative stories with our fifth grade friends. We also enjoyed sharing holiday books as well.
What a wonderful program!! We learned all about reptiles and amphibians. We saw and petted An African bullfrog, a Rococo toad, an American Alligator, a barred tiger salamander, a box turtle, a Burmese python, a blue tongued skink, and a European legless lizard. We learned a lot!!
We all enjoyed our rescheduled field trip to Chapter 126 in Bristol, CT. Chapter 126 Sports & Fitness, named after the U.S. Code, Title 42, Chapter 126; giving people with disabilities equal opportunities, is an adaptive recreational sports and fitness center, open to youth, adults, veterans and seniors with physical disabilities. There we learned about how it feels to have a disability. We also learned about adaptive equipment for people with disabilities. By far, the favorite activity was wheel-chair baskeball.
Using a virtual reality app called Quiver to make our 2 dimensional colored pages come alive. Fun!!!
Mrs. Sweet showed us how to make 3 dimensional snowflakes by making 6 points. Mrs. Edwards and Mrs. Carpenter stapled the 6 points together for us. Our room looked like we were in a blizzard. The snowflakes were beautiful!
Allie was our WOW Wall student this week for the excellent job that she did on her published narrative piece.
