We are learning all about Goshen CT, then and now, from Mr. Valentine, Mrs. Breor, Mr. Connor, and Mr. Manley. We learned all about how the town of Goshen is run and how people are appointed or elected to help Mr. Valentine. We got to see some cool old pictures and documents in Mrs. Breor's office and what the Town Clerk does. WE also got to learn about the Land Use Office and what the building inspector does. Mr. Connor also told us about how we could put in our address into the website to see various maps of our property. We also got to see a set of house plans and we got lollipops from Mr. Valentine's administrative assistant.

Trying to figure out how many coke boxes make up this American flag display by using what we know about arrays and repeated addition.
We all enjoyed learning about all the fun and learning that took place during the last round of Enrichment Clusters.
The second graders enjoyed our trip to the Goshen Historical Society. We learned a lot about the history of Goshen, we saw neat artifacts in the museum, and we even got to ring the old school bell on our way out of the building. Thank you so much Mrs. Horvay and Mrs. Barker.
On our way to the Historical Society, we stopped at Union Savings Bank to learn a little about the bank and what they do. We had lots of great questions especially about the security cameras. We got 'goody bags' with lollipops, a pen, and an activity book about money. Thanks so much!!!
Eliza was our representative to the WOW Wall this week. She has made excellent progress in both Reading and Math. Keep up the good work Eliza!
Learning about the Rainforest in Music and instruments that sound like sounds in nature. We got to play the Rainstick and take a turn at making thunder. Cool!
Gabe was our class representative for the WOW Wall this week. He did an excellent job with the writing of his persuasive piece about why dogs make the best pet.
We very much enjoyed learning about the musical instruments that the fifth graders created. Very creative!!!
